During the conference we hosted a social reception, held interviews and met prospective candidates as they visited our booth. It was so satisfying to partner with our recruiting team to find qualified candidates to bring AT&T into a new era of business. This program has given me countless opportunities – including representing FLDP at this year’s NBMBAA conference. I’m now in my first rotation of the FLDP in the Finance Controller department. My practice paid off and I received an offer. As I patiently stood in line, I waited for the chance to ask about the FLDP and explain why I would be the perfect fit. Specifically, I was interested in AT&T’s Finance Leadership Development Program (FLDP). With each stop, I felt more prepared to speak with the organization I had my sights set on – AT&T. As I visited various booths, I warmed up with companies I was interested in. Going from booth to booth, I tried feverishly to stand out in a sea of MBA candidates and land that important interview that could jumpstart my career. I remember practicing my elevator pitch the night before the conference and waking up the next day ready to make meaningful connections. You see, I had gone to this conference last year as a wide-eyed MBA candidate looking for finance leadership opportunities. When AT&T asked me to represent them at the National Black MBA Association (NBMBAA) Conference, I was ecstatic. ![]() Senior Financial Analyst (Finance Leadership Development Program) ![]()
